A crying baby is found next to a dead woman under a bridge. Shortly after, the parents of the baby get their kidnapped son back. The child is saved but Vera still has to solve the murder case of the dead woman. The investigators cannot reason the kidnapping as the dead woman never blackmailed the wealthy parents for money. Soon Vera gets close to solving the case when she discovers that the woman was a victim of human trafficking having been brought to Munich illegally. Also, the baby was born in Eastern Europe and adopted by the wealthy couple. Suddenly Vera’s daughter Zoe gets kidnapped and the traces lead to the Russian mafia. What role does the adoption agency “Seerose” play”? What was the couple willing to pay in order to keep the baby?
