The team start to sift through the evidence found at Spector’s house. An individual photograph of Spector as a child catches Burns’ attention who recognises the catholic school depicted. Ghosts of his past are reawakened as Burns visits the paedophile Priest in charge of the school at the time. While the visit helps piece together Spector’s past, Burns is left shaken by the unrepentant nature of Father Jensen!
Spector’s professional life has also been turned over and has led police to the door of Jimmy Tyler. Tyler has not forgotten how Spector had him arrested for domestic abuse and it is clear that he has a personal score to settle. Desperate to find his ex-wife, the interview quickly sours when it is clear that the police are suspicious of Spector but won’t tell Tyler why!
At home, Spector has been busy. He goes about destroying any incriminating evidence and calls on Katie to help him with the pieces he can’t reach. Convincing her that they will run away together, Spector seizes the opportunity and makes a a run for freedom. The surveillance team are on him immediately, but he is on foot and able to escape their pursuit. It would appear that Spector is free, until a chance encounter with a revenge fuelled Tyler leads to a brutal showdown. As the violence escalates, police arrive and Spector is caught in the crossfire. Cornered, Spector is unable to escape, and finally, after the massive man hunt, he is arrested by Anderson and taken into custody! The police also swoop on Sally Ann and Katie. Taking them both into custody in the hope that they will give up their involvement in Spector’s crimes. A search of the possessions found on Spector throws up a vital clue in the search for Rose - a video of her held captive by Spector gives hope that she may be alive, but the brutality of the kidnapping takes its toll on Gibson. With Spector and Katie holding firm, Gibson is no closer to reaching Rose, and time is now running out. That evening, a search of the land outside Sally Ann’s family’s farm lead the police to a burnt out car. Under torchlight it is just possible to make out that this is Spector’s car and in the boot is a wealth of potential evidence!
