Suicide victim André Lortie is now a suspect in the murder of psychiatrist Judith Harper. Detectives Lessard and Taillon search Lortie’s room, where they find a series of mysterious sentences scribbled on cardboard scraps, and a business card belonging to attorney Lawson. While Investigator Nadja Fernandez interviews Nash, an acquaintance of Lortie, she discovers that he has a wallet that belongs to Lawson. In his office, Philip Lawson gathers up an old sealed document, and with instructions for his associate Louis-Charles Rivard to follow, he rushes out the door – headed for what he claims will be a vacation. But he doesn’t get far.
