This series tells the story of the Drombusch family, whose parents Vera and Siegfried run a shop selling antiques and tea in Darmstadt. When they overextend themselves financially by moving into a new house and Siegfried dies, Vera has to invest every bit of energy she can muster to keep the family together. The realistic depictions of everyday conflicts where no words are spared while they duke it out made this series a great classic of the 80s on German television.
