In Königshafen, kitesurfers fly over the water on their boards. Former pro turned instructor Tom is particularly taken with kitesurfer Lena, and she lets him talk her into performing dangerous jumps. But then Tom is suddenly attacked from behind in his camper van in the middle of the night. Someone is trying to kill him. The next morning, Sievers, Behrendsen, and Feldmann find the body of this someone in the mudflats, a Spanish fellow who was somehow part of the kitesurfing scene.
