Following Marlene’s death, Krüger retired from active duty and moved to the Spreewald. One morning, he finds the body of environmental activist Chris Wenzel at a sluice on a local water body. Fichte and young detective Luise Bohn, who has returned home after completing her training, begin to investigate.
