A traditional outdoor pre-wedding celebration in the Spreewald is violently interrupted by an explosion, sending some panicked guests diving for cover and others fleeing. The bride, Fina, had stormed off in anger shortly before the blast. The next morning, retired Inspector Krüger finds her out cold near his trailer. Upon regaining consciousness, Fina can only recall fragments of the horrific end to the party.
