When Saskia and her father Georg enter the mine in the snow-covered Ore Mountains with the miners’ music band for the traditional final shift before Christmas, they hear a deadly scream. Bernhard Markert, head of the town’s largest producer of Ore Mountain folk art, has been murdered. An incense smoker in his pocket adds to the mystery. Inspectors Winkler and Szabo investigate at the Christmas market, surrounded by candle arches.
