Landscape designer Katja Hartmann is found beaten to death in the woods. Chief Inspector Robert Winkler and his colleague Karina Szabo investigate the case involving the Schneeberg Miners Orchestra, where Katja played the horn. Forest ranger Saskia Bergelt assists the inspectors in their efforts to solve the case. When a second victim is found during the orchestra’s dress rehearsal for the annual Bergstreittag festivities, events come to a head here in the foothills of the Ore Mountain region, where things are not as idyllic as they seem.
