Two pilgrims stumble upon a dead body along the Saxony portion of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. The deceased, a sawmill proprietor, appears to have died by suicide. But evidence soon reveals he was assaulted and robbed prior to his hanging. As Inspectors Winkler and Szabo delve into the case, they encounter a group of questionable pilgrims and uncover various potential motives for the murder.
