Saskia finds a severely hypothermic Black infant, only two days old, abandoned in a tunnel. In the course of their investigation, Winkler and Szabo unearth a tragedy involving a long-established local family. Distraught parents Frank and Corinna, who run a wheelwright’s workshop in Hartenstein specializing in handcrafted sleds, report their 16-year-old daughter Mia missing. Winkler and Szabo immediately suspect the two events are connected.
