A dead IT technician at a Münster lake puts Ekki in a tight spot due to a recent confrontation with the victim, Ralph Fechner, at work. Now private detective Georg Wilsberg has to clear Ekki’s name. Ekki is currently overseeing a software transition at the local tax authority, much to the annoyance of co-worker Nora, who had also vied for the job. Fechner’s death comes after a server failure and the disappearance of funds.
