After many of the island's residents died from the fateful pigeon flu, Sløborn was evacuated by coercive measures. But a small group of people, including high school student Evelin, resisted removal fearing they would be exposed to an even greater risk of infection on the mainland. Those left on the island are now faced with the collapse of the power grid and the need to be self-sufficient. As the comforts of civilisation diminish, the explosive mix of people and tempers threatens to erupt.
