The Egermann’s young daughter Emma suddenly collapses after working on their farm. Wildegg volunteer firewoman Marie sets out to find the cause, and prevent anything worse from happening. The symptoms point to poisoning, unfathomable until it becomes clear that Emma’s parents are using their biogas facility to dispose of illegal waste.
On top of all this, Marie is trying to invest more time in her relationship with Stefan. What she doesn’t suspect is that Stefan has something to confess to her that will put their relationship to the test.
