Gottfried and Simone Schuster, close friends of Marie’s parents, have a foster child named Jakob who is absolutely thriving since he’s been with them. Then his birth mother Tamara asks Marie to help her get her son back. But Simone, his foster mother, claims Jakob is always in bad shape when he is with Tamara. When Tamara demands her child be returned, Simone and Gottfried disappear with him into the mountains. Marie sets out in search of the boy.
