When there's a family, that's when the role conflict really starts: What does it mean to no longer be just a "man" or a "woman" but also a "father" and a "mother"? Once again, men and women must discuss their relationship. What is the division of tasks? Who takes care of the children? Who earns the money?
Episode 3 visits different families: a "classic" mother-father-child family in Canada, a trans* couple with a desire to have children in the USA, a family with two homosexual fathers and five children in Israel, and an extended family in Mexico. Each constellation has its own difficulties, but one thing is clear: the classic images of mothers and fathers are gradually dissolving, and the nuclear family is a misnomer. So how can the family function today? People all over the world are trying out new communities in a wide variety of models.
