Kate and Dan live in an old mansion in the country. Kate’s 15-year-old son Pete lives with them, and is slowly but surely becoming independent. Kate, who became a mother at a very young age, increasingly has the feeling she has missed out on something. Dan, almost 30 years her senior, feels right at home in the country, but Kate misses the hustle and bustle of the city and interaction with other people. Time and again there are conflicts between the two of them, sometimes caused by their age difference. A petty argument with Dan leads to separation. But was that the right decision?
