Amy Harding has a dream. She wants to bring the run-down flower farm that belonged to her grandparents on the Isles of Scilly back to life.
Despite much hard work, the business does not make enough money and so her husband John decides to return to his old job. He accepts a position as literature professor at the University of Plymouth. And it is there that Amy's mother Maggie lives.
