Just before she’s due to get married, Lilly Miller, a young Scotswoman who was adopted at the age of four, inherits a cottage in Cornwall that is soon to be auctioned off. Though in the midst of her wedding preparations, she suddenly travels to Cornwall in search of her roots. Her fiancé Bill, a born-and-bred Scot with a love of rugby and bagpipe music, is none too enthusiastic about this, of course, but Lilly promises him that she’ll be back in time.
