Ray Holmes loses his job as a rescue pilot for "Sea Rescue" when his colleague Bruce Clarks is killed while piloting a non-approved flight for reasons of his own. When still nothing has been done six months after the accident to punish those apparently responsible, Dana Clarks decides to file charges. She’s convinced that the many overtime hours her husband had to work were the cause of the accident. What Dana doesn’t know: Bruce’s overtime hours served as his alibi for his affair with Amy, who is much younger than he was. Ray is fired to prevent the threat of an investigation. But he isn’t willing to see his career end due to an unjustifiable charge, and he wants to tell Dana the truth about her husband.
