Lena Lorenz is going to prison. Sally Wilkens, an inmate serving a sentence of several years, is in preterm labor. Despite being in prison, Sally wants to keep her baby. The young convict comes from an unstable background, so her longing and motivation to be there for her own child are particularly strong. But when drugs are found in Sally’s cell, the chances of her being allowed to keep her child grow slim. Afraid of having to give up her baby, Sally goes on the run, fleeing the hospital after the birth.
