After her husband dies in an accident, Lena Lorenz is in shock. Little Ronja seems to be the only one who can through to her. Ronja herself was diagnosed with leukemia, and worked out her own idea of death. Her mother Claudia, a friend of Lena’s from school, is very pregnant. She and her husband Joe hope that after the birth, stem cells from the umbilical cord blood will be a match and can be donated to Ronja.
