Lena and Quirin are overjoyed about the birth of their son Luis. They have plenty of support at the Lorenzhof, enabling Lena to return to running her practice herself. Her first patient is Gabriele Ammerer, whose pregnancy is progressing well. But Gabriele herself is seriously ill and has already arranged foster parents for her child. Shortly before the baby is born, however, the couple is forced to revoke their offer. Gabriele is desperate.
